YAAL Rock Camp Promo

YAAL Rock is a community organization committed to creating safe, inclusive, and celebratory spaces for self-identified girls, women, and gender expansive and/or trans youth and adults. The core of their work revolves around camp week. They offer a week-long music camp for youth ages 12-18. During camp, they cultivate community both to self and others through an intensive week of learning, music, and relationship-building. I have had the wonderful opportunity to document the camp for two years (and hope to document more) and documented their adult camp, GRR, as well. Many more videos of camp are available on my Vimeo page.

The Break Up of Upset Conspiracy Boys

During the start of the shutdown of the world to COVID-19, Stephens College asked “can you make a film in 48 hours from where you are currently holed up? Without letting your camera leave the house?”. The prompts given were a genre of Suspenseful Mockumentary, a prop of a butter knife, and a line of dialogue, “Don’t you remember the Bee Gees?” Not only was the Holed Up competition a fun challenge only lasting 48 hours, it was a good way to keep the creative juices flowing when we were staying inside.

Fred and George Watch A Movie

This project was a fun one. My sibling (the star of the film) had a project for their Japanese class, so we spent a night of our winter break together filming this project. It is one of my less serious projects (there are many more less serious projects on my Youtube channel as well) I also enjoyed getting behind the camera to film this. This whole video (other than some bloopers) is in Japanese, but there are English subtitles. There is also some profanity in the bloopers.
